What is the process for getting a rendering complete?

First I need to learn about the vehicle you’re building and what you need to see from the renderings. We will have an initial intake appointment by phone or emails. Once I understand your goals, I sketch out the project. We’ll bounce sketches back and forth until we have a solid design. I then render those sketches in the style you prefer to bring the project to life, giving you a clear representation of your project.

What is the billing process?

To secure your project, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit reserves your time on my schedule.

The remaining balance is due prior to the delivery of the completed artwork. I currently use PayPal for invoicing, you do not need an account in order to pay through PayPal invoices.

Can you create a drawing to show a finished car, even though my vehicle Is currently in pieces?

Yes.  As a professional freelance car designer, I often work with builders who have specific ideas in mind for different sections of the car, which often involve dramatic ideas that have not yet been tried. I listen carefully to what is planned, and can always understand what the builder is trying to do….even if they are having trouble putting it into words. I can draw specific wheel sizes, stances, chop amounts, and other heavy alterations. I can also offer ideas and design suggestions on specific areas of the car that you’re maybe unsure of. Seeing the different ideas sketched out not only helps the build progress, but it’s fun to see as well!

What is the timeframe for having a rendering complete?

A project’s turnaround time depends on the client’s needs. We will discuss how long your project will take, and my availability, during our phone intake appointment.
I have clients approve all sketches before moving on to color.  Waiting on approval from the client can sometimes lengthen turnaround times.   Please contact me to find out current availability and time frames.

How is work billed?

Each vehicle rendering (or angle) is billed at $800 per view plus $60/hr for any extra design time spent sketching variations for the project. Any changes to the initial rendering that is created, such as changes to the body color, wheels, or specific body panel, is billed at $60/hr.

What information do you require before beginning a project?

Every project is different, and I want to learn about the build as much as I can. I like to have a discussion, when possible, to get a good idea of what the client is trying to achieve with the build. Photos are always helpful, but not necessary. I work with clients world wide through emails and calls to learn what they are trying to achieve. A list of modifications that are planned, including specifics such as wheel sizes, is often all that is needed. Some clients are not sure of what they want, and they just have a specific feeling they are trying to evoke with the build. We would schedule a time to have a short discussion about the project and begin formulating some ideas to sketch out.
